Dr. Stephanie James DVM, CVA, CVCH, CVFT, CVMM

Dr. James is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, a Certified Veterinary Chinese Herbalist, and a Certified Veterinary Food Therapist, with advanced training in acupuncture from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) in Florida. In 2017, Dr. James was certified in Veterinary Medical Manipulation from the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute.  

Dr. James graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.  She completed an internship in small animal medicine at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston in 1996, and a residency in zoological medicine and surgery at the Bronx Zoo in 1999.  She practiced zoo medicine from 1999-2011 at the Roger Williams Park Zoo, the Bronx Zoo, and the Pittsburgh Zoo.  In 2011, Stephanie joined the veterinary staff at Sand Road Animal Hospital in Falls Village, CT, where she started her career in small animal medicine.
